"We are doing everything possible to continue a tradition which spans five decades," festival organizers said.

Tickets that have already been purchased for the event will still be honored. The festival is expected to release information about rescheduled performances at American Family Insurance Amphitheater and BMO Harris Pavilion soon.

Milwaukee County is the largest cluster of COVID-19 infections in Wisconsin. As of Tuesday, there were 219 positive cases and three deaths in the county.
