St. Paul Public Schools announced Friday that it will continue to use a distance learning model. 

According to a news release from the district, the decision was made due to the fact that the district's readiness targets had not been met.

"Our ultimate goal is to welcome students and school staff back to our buildings when it is safe and possible to do so," Superintendent Joe Gothard said.
