Minnesota's high school football was resuscitated this past week when the MSHSL reversed course by voting to allow a season to happen this fall - practice can begin Monday. With that news, the My7on7 Passing League is wrapping up its season this weekend.
Typically held in the spring, this year's Passing League has had 32 high school teams from across the state competing on a weekly basis this fall at the old Vikings' practice facility.

Of the games on the final day of action, Eden Prairie beat Hopkins in overtime.
The Eagles kicked-off the scoring when quarterback Devin Jordan found Michael Gross for a deep touchdown for a 6-0 lead.
Hopkins answered when quarterback Gabe Ottmar hit Eli Kotlarz in the end zone to make it a 7-6 Royals lead.
Later, Ottmar found Isaiah Harris to put the Royals up 14-6 but Jordan brought the Eagles down the field late in the game to make it a 14-12 Eden Prairie lead. On the two-point conversion, Jordan found Jermell Taylor to tie the game at 14, sending it to overtime.
The Passing League does have overtime, but not typical football overtime rules. Each team gets one play. The team gaining the most yards on that one play wins.
Eden Prairie had the ball first and threw an incomplete pass. So Hopkins, needing just a single yard to win, tried a run, but the Eagles shut them down forcing a one-yard loss earning the win.
In the second game, Hopkins faced the St. Francis Saints. The Royals dominated this game, scoring quickly for a 7-0 lead.
Then, Ottmar found Harris on a deep throw to make it 14-0. JT Zell later threw a beautiful pass to Ottmar to make it 24-0.
Robert Buckingham hit Zell with a bomb to close out the Hopkins scoring in their 31-15 win.
