The Hopkins girls hoops team was hoping to put its 62-game winning streak on the line Saturday night. They were supposed to play Farmington for the 4A state title at the Barn.

We talked with coach Brian Cosgriff, who expressed sadness that his team won't get a chance to defend its championship. He said, in particular, that star Paige Bueckers was torn apart. The Gatorade National Player of the Year was hoping to go out as a two-time state champ before going to play at UCONN.
