Lakeville South was powered by the sister act of Ava and Emily Moes. It was younger sister Emily who provided the game-winners in each of the sets. On the flip side for Shakopee, the Sabres played very well behind senior captain Ary Forsberg.

Although the Cougars did win in straight sets, the sets were close: 25-21, 25-22, and 29-27.

Lakeville South, ranked No. 2, will host Rosemount next Monday in its next match.
