The Mounds View Mustangs boys basketball team defeated the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders 64-51, Friday evening at Mounds View High School.

The Mustangs led from wire-to-wire, including jumping out to a quick 13-4 lead behind a flurry of threes. Mounds View led 35-22 at halftime.

In the second half, the Raiders started to claw back, eventually cutting the lead to 45-39 with just under eight minutes left following a Tre Hollman bucket for Cretin-Derham Hall.

But, the Mustangs were just too good from beyond the arc. Senior guard Cole Sorensen, junior guard Dylan Wheeler, and junior guard Kobe Kirk all hit big shots down the stretch to put the game away for Mounds View.
