Wild sign goalie Cam Talbot to three-year deal

The Minnesota Wild entered the free agent signing period needing a goalie and they found one on day one signing Cam Talbot to a three-year, $11 million deal.

Talbot went 12-10-1 with a 2.63 goals-against average last season with the Calgary Flames. He was primarily a back-up during the regular season but started all ten of Calgary's playoff games posting 5-4 record with a 2.44 goals-against average.

Across his seven-year NHL career, Talbot owns a record of 150-122-25 with a 2.61 GAA, a .915 SV% and 22 shutouts in 314 career NHL games with the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers and Calgary. He won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2016 IIHF World Championship.

The Wild traded goaltender Devan Dubnyk to San Jose on Monday.
