Spare Key is taking things to the river to raise money to keep their mission afloat. Steve Patterson from Twin Cities Live, commits his time and efforts to working with Spare Key, a local non-profit whose mission is to help families facing a medical crisis by helping provide funds to pay their bills.  Many non-profits are in danger of closing their doors because of the impact Covid-19 has had on charitable giving. Spare Key’s Executive Director, Erich Mische, is taking matters into his own hands and will drift down the Mississippi River raising funds and creating awareness to save his organization and keep its mission a reality. Erich will embark on a 1,700 mile, two-month and ten state journey down the Mississippi River on a homemade raft christened the “S.S. Hail Mary.”  They are also looking for in-kind donations to support Erich on his journey down the mighty Mississippi. For more information on Spare Key and Hope on the River, click here
