The St. Paul Police Department issued an overdose alert Thursday, saying there have been a total of 28 suspected overdoses in the last six days.
The police department said there have been at least two deaths that are believed to be related to the incidents.
At this time, police are saying there is no correlation between the types of drugs or the locations of the overdose, but add the number is nearly double compared to previous weeks.
Police urge people to call 911 if they know someone is experiencing an overdose. Police also urge the use of narcan or naloxone in the case of an overdose.
