With the weekend around the corner, there's no shortage of fun things to do in the metro area. Here is a look at what is going on in the Twin Cities and the surrounding area the next few days.
Looking to lace up your ice skates over the weekend? Head over to the Mall of America to try out the Skate the Star ice rink. The 12,000-square-foot ice rink is a new attraction to the Mall of America. All proceeds from the rink will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Twin Cities.

Explore the frozen wonder of Ice Castles over the weekend. According to the organization that builds the creations, the New Brighton exhibit is one of six in the country. The castles include lit sculptures, frozen thrones, slides and more.

2020 North American Pond Hockey Tournament
See the top pond hockey teams battle it out on the ice of Lake Minnetonka during the 2019 North American Pond Hockey Tournament. Other events include a bean bag tournament and live entertainment.

Twin Cities Record Show
Find that LP or 45 you've been searching for during the Twin Cities Records Show. And the fun doesn't just stop at records, vendors will also be selling CDs and music memorabilia. Attendees can also enjoy the hunt for that special record while enjoying one of the many brews from Able Seedhouse and Brewery.

St. Cloud Craft Beer Tour
Craft beer fans unite! Attendees of the St. Cloud Craft Beer Tour have the opportunity to enjoy four hours of sampling craft beer, hard cider and other adult beverages. Following the event, a number of breweries taking part in the craft beer tour will provide tap takeovers and downtown St. Cloud bars.

Northeast Winter Market
Summer may be long gone, but you can still enjoy the atmosphere of a farmer's market. Pick up fresh produce and other foods during the Northeast Winter Market. The market also includes music on vinyl spun by local DJs, kids' activities and a bar.
