In 2014, Wilson led the Gophers in tackles and tied for the team lead in sacks.

The Gophers were last represented during the 2016 Super Bowl when De'Vondre Campbell and Ra'Shede Hageman played for the Atlanta Falcons.

The last Gopher to win a Super Bowl was Matt Spaeth, with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009.

The San Francisco 49ers will play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 54 on Feb. 2.
